- The OnePlus 15 will have a 7,300mAh battery inside
- It beats the other flagship phones currently on the market.
- The phone will be launched in China on October 27.
The official date for the big reveal of the OnePlus 15 has been set for Monday, October 27 (at least for the launch in China), and ahead of the event, we continue to get details of the specifications and features that this flagship phone will bring.
OnePlus has now confirmed on Chinese social platform Weibo (via Notebookcheck) that the OnePlus 15 will come with a massive 7,300 mAh battery. Charging rates are set at 120W for wired and 50W for wireless, which are also very impressive.
That giant battery capacity had been mentioned in previous leaks, but now we know it’s coming. OnePlus also stated that here we will see a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a screen with a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz.
In fact, there isn’t much left that isn’t official. We’re not sure about the screen size yet, but a 6.78-inch panel is rumored. The same batch of leaks also pointed to a 50MP+50MP+50MP triple-lens camera on the back of the phone.

So how does the 7300 mAh battery capacity compare to the other top flagships right now? Very good, actually: the recently released iPhone 17 Pro Max, for example, has a battery capacity of around 5088 mAh (Apple never lists specific capacities).
According to Apple, that phone can last 37 hours between charges when playing videos, so the OnePlus 15 could even beat that. Of course, real-world battery life depends on a variety of factors, but battery size definitely plays an important role.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra carries a 5000 mAh battery, while the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has a 5200 mAh battery inside. The OnePlus 15 not only outperforms these competing flagships in terms of battery capacity, it beats them by a clear margin.
We’ve seen phones with battery capacities of up to 33,000 mAh in the past, so the OnePlus 15 won’t break records, but those phones with big batteries are too bulky and impractical for everyday use as a consumer flagship.
