LAHORE:
A court of first instance deferred on Tuesday until March 22, the hearing of a defamation case presented by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif against former Prime Minister Imran Khan after the former could not attend judicial procedures due to his commitment to a foreign delegation.
Shehbaz had filed the lawsuit for seeking compensation of RS10 billion of Imran for making the “false accusation” that he, Shehbaz, had indirectly offered a bribe of RS10 billion through a common friend to withdraw the case of Panama’s documents.
The prime minister’s lawyer informed the judge that Shehbaz could not attend the procedures on Tuesday due to an official commitment.
