An anti -terrorism court extended the physical return of Armaghan Qureshi, the main suspect in the case of Mustafa Amir, until March 10.

Armaghan was produced before court as part of the ongoing investigation on high profile murder.

The court granted the extension to allow greater interrogation.

In addition, the Federal Research Agency (FIA) reported that Armaghan, the main suspect in the case of Mustafa Amir murder, seemed intoxicated and did not give direct answers during the interrogation.

The Cybernetic and Anti-the Money Crimes Equipment of the FIA questioned Armaghan and Shiraz, who is also linked to the case.

The agency said it requested the Pracen laptop and other police belongings on February 28, but has not yet received them.

The FIA added that Shiraz admitted to having worked under Armaghan. However, the agency declared that more interrogations would be made once the forensic reports of the suspect electronic devices are available.

Previously, Shiraz claimed that the police pressed him to confess the crime.

During a hearing before the judicial magistrate Karachi South on Monday, Shiraz told the Court that the police had promised him a lighter sentence if he agreed to confess.

Shiraz clarified that he was not the defendant but an ocular witness to the crime, saying: “I saw Armaghan brutally kill Mustafa Amir, but was helpless at that time.”

He also denied any participation in the murder.

After its denial, the court rejected the request of the investigation officer to register the confessional statement of Shiraz.
