President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned the recent missile attacks of India over the Pakistani territory, describing them as a shameless violation of international law and an act of unprovoked aggression.
He said that such actions expose the true nature of the fascist government of India, which prioritizes the political objectives on regional peace and stability.
In a statement issued today, President Zardari said the attacks violated international law and the United Nations Charter.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to protect his territorial integrity and declared that the Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond to any additional aggression.
The Indian attacked multiple locations in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), which resulted in 26 civilian casualties, including children.
Pakistan’s army responded by demolishing several Indian planes, security sources said.
India’s attacks occurred after the attack of the Pahalgama on April 22 in Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk) occupied by India, which resulted in 26 deaths.
India alleges the participation of the Pakistani elements to orchestrate the attack, but has not presented any evidence to support the claim. Pakistan denies all participation and asked for a neutral probe.
The incident led both countries to remember diplomats, suspend visas and take military actions.
President Zardari also asked the international community to condemn the actions of India and support Pakistan’s right to self -defense.
He reiterated that Pakistan seeks peaceful relations with all neighbors, but will not commit to their sovereignty.
The situation remains tense, with both countries on maximum alert.
Diplomatic efforts are underway to decalize the crisis.
