A few days after facing All-Pro Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, the Dallas Cowboys distributed one extension to another defensive player.
The corner gave bland and the cowboys agreed to a long -term extension per $ 92 million in four seasons. The agreement includes $ 50 million in guaranteed money, according to multiple reports.
The average annual value of $ 23 million per soft season places it among the best paid corners of the NFL, sitting sixth on that list behind some of the best in the game, such as the star of the Denver Broncos, Patrick Sortin II and the Top Dog Gardner of New York Jets.

In just his second NFL season, Bland not only led the NFL in interceptions in 2023, but also established the NFL record for the largest amount of peaks in a season, registering five on its nine interceptions.
However, Bland could only play in seven games last season, after suffering a stress fracture in his foot. 10 games had to be lost to start the season before returning in November.

Bland scored 29 solo cup, as well as a forced loose ball in seven games.
But, of course, Cowboys fans are still thinking about Parsons’ trade, since Elite Edge Ruster’s trade was really fulfilled by the owner and general manager Jerry Jones on Thursday.

The cowboys received the next two first-round teams from the Packers, while obtaining the defensive Tackle All-Pro Kenny Clark to strengthen their career defense in the middle. Jones justified the trade during a press conference on Thursday, saying that the Parsons trade movement was based on the “success of this team” now and in the future.
“Not only do we get a player immediately, but those Draft teams could get the best PRO Bowl players,” Jones said.
While there has been a great debate about the justification of Jones of the trade, Parsons no longer needs a giant extension: the Packers paid $ 188 million in the next four seasons after the trade, Jones could assign assets elsewhere.
Bland has consolidated himself as a reliable corner in his last three seasons when he is in the field, and the cowboys do not waste time in this case to enclose him for the future.

If Bland did not sign an agreement to start the year, it would have been a free agent without restrictions after the 2025 campaign.
