The Crypto task force of the S will organize 4 more round tables in the industry

The Crypto Task Force of the US Securities and Securities Commission (Sec) will organize four more round tables with the industry this spring, on issues ranging from tokenization to decentralized finances (defi).

The first discussion of Crypto’s task force, the beginning of what Commissioner Hester Peirce, the leader of the working group, has called the “sprinkle sprint towards cryptographic clarity” of the SEC, was held in Washington, DC, last Friday. A dozen industry lawyers talked about issues related to the security state of the tokens.

“The round tables of the Crypto working group are an opportunity for us to listen to an animated discussion among experts about what are the regulatory problems and what the commission can do to solve them,” Peirce said in a Tuesday’s announcement.

The round table discussions are just an example of the radical review of the SEC of its approach to cryptographic regulation. As the agency moves away from the so -called “application regulation” practiced by former President Gary Gensler, his new leadership, including Pierce and interim president Mark Uyeda, have indicated the desire to improve their working relationship with the cryptographic industry and provide lighter regulatory guidelines to industry participants.

The next discussion of the round table in the series, “between a block and a difficult place: the adaptation regulation for cryptography trade” is scheduled for April 11. The following discussions will cover topics, including cryptographic custody (April 25), Tokenization (May 12) and decentralized finances (June 6). Each of the round table discussions will take place in Washington, DC, and will also be broadcast live.
