The United States Department of Education (DOE) announced Monday that it recognizes June as “month of title IX”.

The announcement came in honor of the 53rd anniversary of the title IX of the educational amendments (1972) that began law. The official date is June 23.

“June will now be dedicated to commemorating women and celebrating their struggle for and achieving equal educational opportunities,” said the DOE in a statement. “Throughout the month, the department will highlight the actions taken to reverse the legacy of the Biden administration to undermine title IX and announce additional actions to protect women in line with the true purpose of title IX.”

“By prohibiting discrimination based on sex in the programs financed by the federal government, #titleix opened innumerable sports and academic opportunities for women and girls throughout the country. This month, we celebrate the 53th anniversary of Title IX and we will take more measures to protect the rights won of women,” added the DOE in an X Post.

The Secretary of Education of the United States, Linda McMahon, said in his own statement: “The department recognizes June as the ‘month of Title IX’ to honor the civil rights won by women and demonstrate the unwavering commitment of the Trump administration to restore them to the maximum of the law.

“Title IX provides protections to women based on sex in all educational activities, which include their rights to equal opportunities in segregated intimate spaces of sports and sex, including brotherhoods and living accommodations,” he continued. “This administration will fight on each front to protect sports from women and girls, intimate spaces, bedrooms and homes, and fraternal and panhellenic organizations.”

The measure occurs days after trans athletes in different states recently dominated their competence.

In Minnesota, a softball launcher, born as a man, led Champlin Park High School to the state tournament with the help of a whitish in the final of the section on Thursday.

On Saturday, a few days after President Donald Trump sent a warning to California about letting a man compete in the athletics of girls, the State allowed a trans athlete, AB Hernández, to take two state titles against female competitors.

On another Saturday, this in Oregon, two students of the last year of high school, Reese Eckard by Sherwood High School and Alexa Anderson by Tigard High School, left their respective places on the podium next to a trans athlete that represented Ida B. Wells High School.

In Washington, the transgender competitor Veronica García won the state championship of 400 meters per second consecutive season.

With the announcement came “initiatives of the month of title IX”, one of which is an investigation into the public schools of the University of Wyoming and the Jefferson County in Colorado for “supposedly allowing men to join and live in intimate and communal spaces only for women,” said the Doe.
