The Department of Origin of Punjab urges the public not to donate eid skins to prohibited organizations

The Punjab Department of Interior has issued a strong advice that urges citizens not to donate sacrifice animal skins to prohibited organizations or their affiliates before Eidul Azha.

The department has published a list of more than 70 banned groups and emphasized that helping them, financially or materially, is a punishable crime by virtue of the 1997 anti -terrorism law.

“Attending the entities involved in terrorism or antistatal activities is not only a threat to national security, but can also lead to legal consequences for people,” the spokesman warned.

Citizens have received instructions to donate skins only to charity organizations registered in the Punjab Charity Commission. Verification can be performed using QR codes found in official certificates issued to authorized organizations.

The seminars and the well -being institutions that seek to collect skins must obtain a valid non -objection certificate (NOC) of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Only groups with legitimate permits issued by DC or the charity commission can operate.

Among the prohibited groups named are Lashkar-E-Jhangvi, SIPAH-E-MUHAMMAD, JAISH-E-MUHAMMAD, LASHKAR-E-TAIBA, AL-QAEDA, TEHREEK-E-TALIBAN POKISTAN (TTP), JAMAAT-DAWA, DAESH (ISIS), Balochistan Army) Jeaay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Falah-E-Insaniat Foundation, Al-Akhtar Trust, Al-Rasheed Trust, Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) and others.

The department has asked parents, mosque administrators, seminars and NGOs to remain vigilant and help to safeguard national interests.

Citizens are advised to denounce any collection of suspicious skin of prohibited groups through the emergency of police number 15.

Official lists of charity organizations registered through the Punjab Hogar Department, the Punjab Charity Commission and NACTA websites can be accessed.

The Federal Government has declared a four -day public holiday for Eidul Azha, scheduled to begin on Friday, June 6 and will run until Monday, June 9.

The decision is in line with the celebration of Eidul Azha, which is an important religious festival in Pakistan.

The announcement was preceded by Moon’s sighting on May 27 by the Ruet-E-Hilal Committee. President Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that the first day of Eidul Azha will be held throughout Pakistan on June 7.
