There have been deaths in the air attacks made by India and Pakistan on each other. The exact figures are difficult to determine. It is also difficult to say precisely where people were killed and how many planes were demolished. The truth is always one of the first victims in any state of war or extreme tension between two nations.

This tragedy has caught attention, but the continuous deaths of the Kashmiro over the decades in the shots through the control line on both sides have remained largely ignored.

In the case of the current conflict, the situation has worsened even more because of the exaggeration and hysteria that extends through the border. Much of the worst aspects of this come from India. Of course, there have been Pakistan responses, but to some extent, this is inevitable.

However, some of the memes, the images of Tiktok, the cartoons and the other uses to which social networks have been placed, do not suggest that there is a realization of what war really means for families that lose children or other members and for soldiers who must perform their duties according to orders.

There are also other types of losses in this war. One is the fact that the exchange of reactions on social networks, the blatantly false news and the images of AI present more prominently by India and the other types of cliché comments do nothing to generate confidence among people who share a long history in common. We have lost so much to lose this trust. One way or another, it has to be restored.

It is unfortunate that the loss of this trust, mainly as a result of the policies followed by the extremist government led by BJP, has constantly represented Pakistan and, in fact, all Muslims, including the millions that live in India, as enemies. At this time there is nothing similar to bilateral relations between the two countries. It is true that conversations at a lower level take place in the matters classification, including trade, which exists at several levels.

But this is not enough. We need a large -scale dialogue at all times to solve the difficulties facing the two nations. It is a good sign that the direct line has already been opened between the two nuclear weapons states. Pakistan and India spend large amounts in their military arsenals.

According to a group of leader experts in defense and weapons, India and Pakistan spend billions in their defense. They may not be large quantities compared to other countries, well below the huge expenses of the United States and Russia, but they are still much.

And the truth is that any type of nuclear calamity between the two nations, perhaps unleashed by a misunderstanding or the accidental launch of a missile, would trigger a catastrophe that would not only destroy the two nations themselves, but also a large part of the rest of the world.

These conversations can prevent such calamity from developing, even when we get involved in the images of social networks and the exchange of various types of insults and abuses about the various platforms available for both countries, including Twitter or X, which has recently been unlocked in Pakistan, which allows Pakistanis for an opportunity to resort to the Indian diatribe that we see in this and other forums.

It is encouraging to observe that the nations that currently try to ensure that some kind of calm to the region is returned to be successful in their task for now. But this is a longer term problem. Pakistan and India need to evolve a certain degree of ability to speak with each other and negotiate issues, as are other nations that are neighbors. We have already seen what hate of damage can bring in the many wars that fought in modern times.

The conflict in the Middle East is an example of the most recent age. There are many others around the world and on all their continents. The lessons of these must be learned and taught to people, especially the younger people, who have learned very little in their schools and other institutions, and that publish the most irresponsible content, sometimes destined to laugh at Tiktok and other means. There is nothing remotely comic about war.

Apart from these issues, there is also the problem of the same purse. At present, those close to the LOC live with constant fear, with reports by Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) that indicate that families are sleeping in light to avoid shooting from the Indian side. There is no doubt that this is also true on the other side.

The situation of the Kashmira has been extremely difficult since 1947. The situation has worsened since Cachemira was effectively annexed by the Modi government and the attempts to turn it into a part of India.

The infinite struggles of the people of Kashmira and the difficulties they have faced should not be forgotten in the current exchange of rhetoric and diatribe aimed at the countries of the other. These people, after all, are the worst patients of this and the previous conflicts that have taken place on Kashmir.

Some method must be found to put the genius again in the bottle. How this will happen is not clear today. We know that the United States is in the image, at the level that is possible under a configuration directed by President Donald Trump, and is making some efforts to restore normality. They are also other nations and individuals in both countries, including peace activists and other people with prominence in their communities.

This is especially difficult to achieve in India and more and more, also in Pakistan. But we hope that their efforts will end the current tensions and return to the situation that existed before the combat planes flew over Pakistan. From this moment, there should be an effort to restart the dialogue at some level and end the threats that have already been made.
