The members of the tribe of a border village in the low directory of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have announced that they will take weapons against foreign terrorists operating in the volatile region along the Afghan border, promising to expel them along with their local facilitators.
Development occurs in the midst of a strong increase in terrorist violence in border districts, with reports that terrorists of the tehreek-e-work pakistan prohibition (TTP) and their Afghan cohorts are using sanctuaries through the border to launch attacks inside Pakistan.
According to local sources, a great Jirga held on Saturday resolved that no terrorist would be allowed to stay in Maskini Darra, Lower director.
The Jirga warned that if someone tried sabotage or subversive activity, their properties would be confiscated and their families, along with those of their facilitators, they would be banished from the area.
The tribal assembly also decided to organize night patrols to monitor and restrict the movement of terrorists along the border. The measure follows the revelations of security sources one day before the terrorists in the neighboring district of Bajaur lived among the local population while carrying out terrorist and criminal activities.
The Provincial Government, including Prime Minister and senior security officials, had offered three options to local tribal elders: 1.) Expert foreign elements, most of which are national Afghan, of the area; 2.) If you cannot expel them, dislocate the area temporarily for one or two days to allow security forces to perform operations to eliminate terrorists; 3.) If none is possible, reduce collateral damage to a minimum, since operations will continue in all circumstances.
Security sources emphasized that there was “absolutely no doubt to have conversations with” Khawarij “or their facilitators unless they were delivered to the State. TTP terrorists, responsible for much of the terrorist violence in the country, have been officially designated as” Fitna al-Khwarij. “The officials claim that they receive financial and material support from the Intelligence Agency of India, RAW.
Security sources said that the call of Jirga Tribal was a logical step to guarantee maximum civil protection before any operation, but reiterated that there could be no “commitment” to the Khawarij, described as “enemies of Islam and the State.”
“Neither religion, nor the State, nor the values of the brave people of KP allow such commitment,” said a source, adding that the authority to perform any armed operation falls only to the state.
