The Philadelphia Eagles came out with their first victory of the 2025 season on Thursday night, but an offensive star was surprisingly quiet at all times.
The veteran open receiver AJ Brown, the option of upper passes of the team, was practically non-existent in the 24-20 victory for Philadelphia. He did not obtain his first goal until less than two remaining minutes in the game, an eight -yard reception.
The NBC transmission brought its lack of objectives several times, but Field Marshal Jalen Hurts was using his legs and finding other receptors, including the closed wing Dallas Goedert, to move the ball down.

Brown is a three -time Pro Bowl receiver that has had at least 1,000 yards in each of his first seasons with Philadelphia, which raises the question: how did he feel when he was not a factor to start the year?
“You know, that’s not something I can control,” he said, by Penn Live. “What I can control is my effort for when the ball comes on my path.”

The journalists tried to push Brown about the subject, which he simply reiterated: “That is something that I cannot control.”
The Cowboys noticed that they did not want Brown to have the opportunity to play plays, since the defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus made sure that his side of the field had additional coverage.

In turn, Goedert was the player who worked one by one, since the game ended with seven trapped for 44 yards. Hurts also found Jahan Dotson, the third team receiver behind Brown and Devonta Smith, also for a 52 -yard bomb in the field.
It is only the first game of the season, and we have certainly seen the connection that Hurts and Brown have had over the years since the Tennessee Titans changed it to Philadelphia.
Hurts was doing what was needed to take the Eagles going down the field and enter the annotation zone, which they did three times in the first half. He scored the first two TouchDowns of the team on the ground, while Saquon Barkley, who had four trapped in the game, also hurried to get a score.

Perhaps this is simply a mistake to start the year for Brown, but until Hurts begins to aim more, it will be something to see move on.
