The eminent poet Sindhi Dr. Akash Ansari dies in the fire of the house

The famous Poet of Sindhi Allah Bux popularly known as Dr. Akash Ansari, 69, died when a fire broke out in his house located in Hyderabad, police confirmed on Saturday.

According to Latif Akash, his adoptive son, Ansari was asleep when a fire broke out in his room around 8:30 am Latif said that when he entered the room, he saw that his father had fallen out of bed. He said the room was full of smoke and that the floor of the room was very hot.

After being informed, rescue officials rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire. The officials said the incident occurred in the Citizen neighborhood.

The members of the deceased’s family took his body to Badin for the burial, but at the request of the authorities, the poet’s body was taken to the Hospital of the University of Liaquat, Hyderabad, by medical-legal procedures.

Meanwhile, Sindh’s prime minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid tribute to the services of the deceased poet and ordered research on the incident.

In line with the instructions of the Prime Minister, Hyderabad SSP formed a team of five members, headed by the SP Masood Iqbal headquarters, to investigate the incident.

During his interaction with journalists, Sp IQBAL said a short circuit was the probable cause of the fire. He added that the poet used to take sleep pills.

The police officer also said that his son was at home when the incident occurred, adding that Latif sought the help of rescue officers and their neighbors to save his father’s life.

“Dr. Akash presented a case against his adoptive son in 2024, but later, he buried the ax,” he added.
