- South Park season 28 episode 5, titled ‘The Crap Out’, is now available on Paramount+
- Confirms that Trump and Satan’s antichrist baby dies in the womb
- The creators want us to have a Christmas miracle… or don’t they?
Decorate the halls with branches of… Trump? He south park The season 28 finale shows us the president of the United States himself dressed as Santa Claus, with a bell to interrupt passersby on the street.
In recent episodes, Vice President JD Vance and American venture capitalist Peter Thiel have been working together to try to put an end to this. Vance has been doing everything he can to annoy Trump, which included a scene you’ll never want to see again in episode 3.
However, Vance and Thiel get their wish two episodes later, and the ending of south park Episode 5 of season 28 is presented to us with caution. It’s a Christmas miracle, but are we really safe?
Opinion: I choose to see the good in the ending of episode 5 of season 28 of South Park
Clearly, Vance’s persuasion techniques have worked, as Trump teams up with Vance to try to stop the Antichrist prophecy while Satan goes into labor. Once we arrive at the hospital, the doctors tell us that the baby has taken his life in the womb, starting a downward spiral in the media that is fully convinced that the impossible can become possible.
Trump sees all of this as a personal victory, but there is more. We later find out that Trump and Vance have actually been together all along behind Satan’s back, even though it initially seemed like their moment of intimacy was nothing more than a plot. Well, most things are in politics, but you know what I mean.
None of those sentences are things I thought I’d be writing in my lifetime, but it’s south parkThe moral conclusion implied here is the most important. The creators challenge us to take the death of an Antichrist as a Christmas victory, but it’s equally naive to think anyone is truly out of the woods.
Despite that, I’m going to take a win as a win. south parkTrump’s current parody this year has been as scathing as it is terrifyingly accurate, and there’s only so much of it one person can take.
Frankly, I’m holding on to the small window of hope that things will calm down until we see south park season 29 (whenever that is). Or failing that, at least until we see the New Year enter.
While season 29 is currently unconfirmed, it will now need a new Trump story if it returns. Can it really be worse than Trump having a baby with Satan? I almost hope we won’t find out for a long time.
