According to the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD), Punjab is currently experiencing a variety of climatic conditions with light rain in some areas, dusty winds in others and the cloud cover without rain in several parts.
Temperatures are expected to gradually increase. The rain is forecast for the divisions of Gujranwala and Rawalpindi, while it is likely that the divisions of South Punjab and Lahore in front of dusty winds with low possibilities of rain.
The Meteorological Office said the showers in some places can relieve a brief relief of growing heat, adding that the current weather system was expected to leave the country at the end of the day.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 24 ° C, and the maximum range is expected to 40 ° C.
In contrast, the mountainous regions of Shangla and parts of Kohistan were beaten by heavy rain during the night, which led to landslides at various points along the kkh, particularly in the upper part of Kohistan near Dasu, interrupting both the load and the movement of the travelers.
The authorities have deployed heavy machinery to clear the rubble, and although limited sections of the road for small vehicles and unidirectional traffic have been reopened, the complete restoration remains pending due to continuous bad weather, police officers confirmed.
The Gilgit Chilgit section is still operational. The region also faced intense hail storms and heavy rains, which caused considerable damage to orchards and foot crops.
