It has been a while since Jason Day has been in the winning circle of a specialist.
His lonely important victory approaches his 10th anniversary (August 16, to be exact) when the Australian took home the PGA championship in the Silbid Strait during a race in which the day was the most dominant golfist on the planet and held the number 1 position in the world.
But since then, it has been a roller coaster.

“So I have played solid golf and I have had some good results, but now I cannot believe that we are in the middle of the season, and I feel that the year has gone very, very fast, but obviously, when you are injured, you are sitting a lot and waiting until … your body cures. So decent golf, it could play a little better, obviously. They can all do it.”
The US Open of this weekend will be the first time that it is in the course from the PGA championship last month while taking care of the aforementioned wrist injury. But it could be more prepared for the Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, than no one.

“I have a golf course in my front courtyard, and I know how important it is to have the right people to be able to make that happen. I am preparing for the US Open. “If you are in a simulator, and you are playing Oakmont, you can see what the course is going to give you. But here, I can grow the course, I can accelerate the greens, I can grow the hard, I can reaffirm my course,” Day added.
While the day can be outside that number 1 dispute, a victory on Sunday can put it on that path on which it has been dying.
“Being the number 1 in the world, I knew how difficult it was to get there, the work, the effort and the distractions that came with him. It is difficult to sit there and say that the injuries have taken me little impulse,” said Day. “But a race is very long. I am trying to stop these recent injuries, and if I can have some healthy years and hit the ball strongly, grant what I need to do, I hope to give me the opportunity to challenge some of the best in the world.”
