Jax Ulbrich, son of the Defensive Coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons, Jeff Ulbrich, caused controversy after he obtained the telephone number of Sheduer Sanders from his father’s computer before the start of the NFL draft.
Jax marked the number to joke Sanders call Sanders during the draft.
Subsequently, the NFL fined the Falcons assistant coach $ 100,000. The League also issued the Falcons a fine of $ 250,000.
The situation caused a debate about whether Ulbrich, in his second period with Atlanta, would be fired from his work. But Ulbrich said he was never worried that his work was at risk.

“With all honesty, I never went there, but I felt nothing more than the organization’s support in each form, from the people who worked in the cafeteria to [owner] Mister. [Arthur] Blank himself, all of them, “Ulbrich told ESPN on Wednesday.

Ulbrich handled several 2015-2020 assistant training roles during his first period with the Falcons. Chief coach Raheem Morris, also in his second period with the team, brought Ulbrich back to Atlanta in January to fill out the defensive coordinator.
The Falcons fired former defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake shortly after the regular season ended.

“I felt a great support from him. It was one of the main reasons, with all honesty, that I returned here due to the organization and what I think of this building,” Ulbrich added.
Ulbrich said he has not yet decided on discipline for his son.

“We are still working on that, but it was a challenge for our family,” said Ulbrich. “But it is a challenge for everyone in our family. And as I said, it will make my son better because of that.”
During a press conference last month, Ulbrich said Jax’s actions were “absolutely inexcusable.” He also said he did not know that his son was responsible for the joke call until after the draft, but he was “surprised” when he learned of the development.
