The committee deliberated with the Pakistan Bar Council and the Supreme Court Bar Council to modernize the 1980 rules, presenting the final draft to the full court. The 2025 rules include 60 new provisions, while five outdated provisions were removed. The new set of guidelines aims to modernize and digitalize the legal system, bringing procedural clarity to the justice system, according to the Supreme Court.
