The chief of the Army staff (COAS), Syed also Munir, participated in high -level interactions with the high -level political and military leadership during his official visit to the United States, said Public Relations between Services (ISPR) on Sunday in a statement.
According to the Wing of the Media of the Army, Coas Munir is in the United States in an official visit where he also met with members of the Pakistani diaspora.
In Tampa, the COA attended the retirement ceremony of the outgoing commander of the United States Central Command (Centcom), General Michael E. Kurilla and the change of command ceremony that marks the assumption of the command of Admiral Brad Cooper, reads in the press release.
“Coas praised the exemplary leadership of General Kurilla and his invaluable contributions to strengthen bilateral military cooperation, and extended his best wishes to Admiral Cooper, expressing confidence in continuous collaboration to address shared security challenges,” added the statement.
The Army Chief also met with the president of the Joint Personnel Chiefs, General Dan Caine, where matters of mutual professional interest were discussed.
The field marshal invited General Caine to visit Pakistan, said the military media wing.
On the margin, Coas also interacted with the chiefs of defense of friendly nations.
During an interactive session with the Pakistani diaspora, the COA urged them to stay safe in the brilliant future of Pakistan and actively contribute to attract investments.

The diaspora reaffirmed her commitment to support the progress and development of Pakistan, the press release concluded.
The visit continues to an official trip before the United States in June, during which the Munir Field Marshal met with President Donald Trump during a lunch.
During the meeting, which extended to more than two hours, both parties also discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation in multiple domains, including trade, economic development, mines and minerals, artificial intelligence, energy, cryptocurrencies and emerging technologies.
After the visit of the Army Chief, Pakistan and Washington have also reached a highly anticipated commercial agreement.
The agreement itself was confirmed by Trump himself, who resorted to social networks, saying that the two countries “will work together to develop their enormous oil reserves” and currently “in the process of choosing the oil company” that will lead this association.
President Asif Ali Zardari, in June, conferred to the Nishan-E-Imtiaz (military) to the Centcom commander, Gen Kurilla, in recognition of its exceptional services for regional peace and efforts to reinforce the defense cooperation of Pakistan-United States.

During his visit, General Kurilla held detailed meetings with Pakistani civil and military leadership, including President Zardari and the head of the Army personnel (COAS), the Syed Field Marshal Also Munir.
The discussions covered regional security, military commitment to military and joint efforts to combat terrorism and emerging transnational threats.
