On Wednesday a special ceremony of the Honor Guard was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to honor the Syed field marshal also after its promotion to the highest military range.
The ceremony was held in Yadgar-E-Shuhaada inside GHQ, where the Munir Marshal also placed a crown of flowers and offered Fateha to tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives by Pakistan.
General Munir was elevated to the range of seafood by the federal government in recognition of his outstanding leadership during the recent military clashes with India and the successful execution of the “Bunyanum Marsoos Operation.”
The Prime Minister recognized his courage and exemplary determination to lead the Pakistan army and coordinate the war strategy of the Armed Forces in an integral way.
The field marshal also dedicated the honor to the entire Pakistani nation and paid tribute to the Armed Forces, agencies for the application of the law and civil veterans for its relentless service and sacrifices.
He particularly acknowledged to the martyrs, describing them as defenders who stopped “as a steel wall” against the unpaved and illegal aggression of India.
“This honor is a tribute to the entire Pakistani nation and the brave men and women of the armed forces of Pakistan, particularly to the martyrs who stopped as a steel wall against Indian, cowardly and illegal aggression against Pakistan,” he said.
