- Apple has to catch up
- As reported, Siri updates are a priority
- Apple also wants improved AI models
We have seen the launch of Apple Intelligence with a lot of enthusiasm in the last 12 months, and it seems that there are much more to come in this area, with a recently filtered memorandum that reveals the two main priorities of Apple’s AI for the rest of 2025.
The memorandum was informed in a Bloomberg article (through 9to5Mac), which states that the highly qualified Executive of Apple, Kim Vorrath, has been transferred to the division of AI with the task of “shaping artificial intelligence and Siri “
John Giannandrea, head of AI of Apple, announced the news in an internal memorandum that apparently also reveals two key goals for division in the coming months: to improve the Siri digital assistant and build better internal models of AI.
It is recognized that Apple is still a bit behind in regards to AI. We have just seen the Galaxy S25 phones equipped with the Samsung, while Google is implementing its advanced GEMINI in almost all its applications and devices.
IA updates
The two allegedly highlighted objectives by Giannandrea make sense. Siri went ahead at his time when he made his debut in 2011, but since then he has been overcome by his rivals, and is an Apple product that users often complain.
Chatgpt of Openai is an example of an AI assistant that is much more versatile and greater range, and Apple has added a chatgpt extension to Siri with iOS 18.2, an admission that Siri is currently not up to par.
Over time, Apple will want to cut the ties with rival artificial intelligence attendees, and improve their own large -language models (LLM) will help with that: the second objective. Companies such as OpenAi, Google and Meta have wide LLM that drive their artificial intelligence technology.
We have previously heard that the APPLE LLM themselves could have developed enough for next year to arise a truly next generation Siri 2.0 In the WWDC 2025.
