- Apps and games appear for Galaxy XR headphones
- The device, also known as Project Moohan, has long been teased.
- Finally we will have a grand opening on Tuesday, October 21st.
We know that the Samsung Galaxy
As SammyGuru and @WorkaholicDavid discovered, a variety of apps and games are now appearing with the “XR” tag attached. That indicates that they are ready for the new Extended Reality experience that the upcoming headsets will offer.
Many of the titles look like ones you can play with headphones like the Meta Quest 3: There’s, for example, a crazy golf experience in virtual reality, as well as what appears to be a space shooter and an app to launch a virtual television screen.
Given the Extended Reality categorization, it looks like the Galaxy XR headset will offer completely enclosed virtual experiences, as well as apps and games that combine digital overlays with the real world (again, like the Quest 3).

This headset has been a long time coming. Samsung and Google have been teasing it for over a year, and since then we’ve had some official updates, plenty of leaks and rumors, and even some hands-on time.
In terms of pricing, we expect it to start around $1,760 / £1,315 / AU$2,715, although that’s based on a conversion of a rumored price into South Korean won, so it may not be entirely accurate.
We learned more about the Android XR software earlier this year, and it’s no surprise that Gemini and AI play a central role here, enabling features like live translation and quick responses to your queries about just about anything.
With some pretty decent specs planned, it could quickly become one of the best VR headsets on the market, although the current competition is tough. As soon as Samsung announces all the details, we will of course report them here.
