- Edifier’s doo on-oar headphones are Bluetooth 6.0
- Only 100 g, much lighter than the equivalent Sony cans
- Audio codec support is a bit disappointing
We have been waiting for a while for the first Bluetooth 6.0 headphones to arrive, and it seems that Edifier has defeated its rivals with the launch of the terribly named but quite funky doo as in the ears.
The Doo Ace, a name that gets worse every time I write it, is Bluetooth 6.0 with multiple points. But the presence of the last Bluetooth does not necessarily mean that you will want to buy them, since there are some disadvantages in the specification, and as they are currently only available in China, you may not be able to buy them at all.
DOO ACE EDIFIER headphones: key features and prices
Doo oil headphones promise a AI -based noise reduction, 32 mm controllers and an audio connector for cable connections. There is a reduced latency game mode, and the buildinger says that you can also use them as a remote shutter control for the camera of your phone.
However, as Notebookck.net reports, audio codec support is limited: SBC, A2DP, AVRCP and HFP: Not only is there nothing like APTX or LDAC, there is not even LC3, the best predetermined Bluetooth audio codecc codec that is part of Bluetooth.
At 100 g, these headphones are very light compared to rivals such as 147g Sony Wh-Ch520, but that lightweight weight means less battery capacity: battery life is 25 hours, half of the Sonys. The fast charge will give 5 hours of reproduction of a load of 15 minutes.
There are four colors, the blank of the girl, the orange sunset, the brown earth and the blue of the secret night, and the price in China is CNY229 (about $ 32 / £ 24).
It is unknown if Ace Doo will be launched in other markets, but, of course, if they are, we will inform it. From what we can say, they are the first headphones revealed with Bluetooth 6.0: we cannot find evidence of any other, but let us know in the comments if you have seen any ad.
They are not exactly an emblematic showcase of what Bluetooth can do compared to the best wireless headphones, but they are funky, economical and lightness is very impressive.
