- Nintendo has revealed a new Joy-Con 2 color combination
- They will be released the same day as Mario Tennis FeverFebruary 12
- You can pre-order them now on Nintendo’s website.
Nintendo has announced the first official alternative colorway for its Joy-Con 2 controllers.
Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, the new ‘Light Purple and Light Green’ Joy-Con 2 will launch on February 12, according to an official announcement on Nintendo of America’s X/Twitter account.
These are virtually identical to the red and blue Joy-Con 2 that ship with the Switch 2. The biggest difference, obviously, is the color scheme, which swaps out that red and blue for a couple of cooler color combinations. They look pretty good and can be pre-ordered now for the usual price of $99.99/£74.99 on Nintendo’s online store.
As mentioned in the tweet, the light purple and light green Joy-Con 2 controllers will be released on the same day as the next one. Mario Tennis Fever. There’s even a new general trailer for Camelot’s racket destroyer and honestly, it looks pretty cool.
As for the Joy-Con 2, don’t expect radical changes to the hardware. They appear to be your typical Joy-Con 2, albeit with a different color scheme. This new colorway is unlikely to feature anything like longer battery life or Hall effect bars, for example.
