- Product Product Product ‘DJI Romo’ Boxed in shipping pallet
- Rumors suggest that you will combine vacuum and mop functions, in addition to avoiding pets
- It would be DJI’s first vacuum, but the company has demonstrated the will to enter the new market sectors recently
It seems that the rumored DJI Romo, a robot vacuum cleaner with integrated MOP, is not only real but approaches the launch.
A photograph tweeted by the Chinese drone filter in China Ositalv shows what appears to be a shipment of six candy romo in a palette and ready for shipping, which suggests that the product could be on sale very soon.

First we listen to rumors about the romo in November 2024, where a leaked image intended to show the robot design. However, even if this image was real, it was not clear at that time if the product was simply prototype or destined for a real world launch. Now it seems likely to be a real product, which comes to imminent stores.
DJI has never confirmed the existence of the romo. However, the initial speculation suggested that the Romo would combine vacuum and MOP functions, and include characteristics such as individual room controls and pet detection.
More recently, other filtered images of what appears to be the complementary application of Romo, suggest that it will coincide with the best robot vacuum clezers with characteristics such as automatic self -employment and powerful obstacle power (which is something that DJI’s drones are known).
While the launch of the Romo would represent the first incursion of DJI in the Robot vacuum market, we believe that it is highly plausible that the Chinese company moves to this sector of the market.
Why a robot vacuum?
DJI is better known for its aerial photography drones (such as the new Mavic 4 Pro), action cameras and smallest phones. But its competence in automated movement, obstacle avoidance and battery technology make it well positioned to produce a self -completed domestic robot. An educational robot has even been made on the past: the Robomaster S1 released from 2019.
Diversifying its product line could be a cunning strategy for DJI, since its drone business seems to be threatened, in the United States, at least, due to the chaotic rates plans of the Trump administration and the general regulatory hostility of the United States towards Chinese manufacturing drones. The Mavic 4 Pro has not even launched in the United States, for example, despite being the new DJI flagship drone.
The robot vacuum market could also be ready for interruption, without a clear dominant manufacturer. Check out our best robot aspirations guide, for example, and find that it contains a wide combination of brands, each with different strengths.
If we listen more about the DJI Romo, we will bring more updates.
