The former offensive liner of the Miami Dolphins, Jonathan Martin, is walking back his accusations of intimidation against his former teammate, Richie Incognito, which caused a lot of scandal in 2013.
“I never believed that for a second I was being intimidated,” Martin told ESPN. “It’s a story that I have been trying to fix for 10 years.”
Incognito was suspended by the Dolphins in 2013 after informing that he intimidated Martin to the point that the latter left the team’s cafeteria as a result of what was said.

Martin, a second round of the Dolphins in 2012, was in its second season of the NFL when the intake controversy surrounded and incognito.
The Dolphins later announced that Incognito was suspended by “harmful conduct for the team.”
The League finally got involved, retaining lawyer Ted Wells to investigate the incident, which discovered that Incognito, Mike Pouncy and John Jerry had been involved in harassment towards Martin.

The NFL report on the matter also said that Martin was recorded in a hospital and that his mother should be flown throughout the country to be with him during that time.
But now, Martin is blaming his parents for the situation that becomes as widely known as today.
“I had a situation with my teammates who was not very happy,” Martin told ESPN. “But my mother read the situation about the situation.
“I hadn’t even told my coaches, I hadn’t told anyone. And suddenly he’s in ESPN, right?” He continued. “I did not believe any of the positions I was taking, just, where I am this victim. I was not a victim, right? And again, it has been a point of dismay.

“My mother maybe in her mind, I can’t read her mind, she thought I was doing the right thing.”
Incognito, who lost the second half of the 2013 season and the entire 2014 campaign due to the scandal, responded after seeing Martin’s new words about the matter.
“He could not cut it into the NFL, so he resigned and his mother blamed me,” he said, without Rodeos, X. “The inherited media pushed this narrative a lot and far. Too bad it was a lie! They lied to protect their money .
While Martin’s mother, Jane, did not talk to ESPN for the interview, her father, Gus, said her piece.
“His mother and I intervened strongly,” he said. “To make sure he was protected.”

Gus Martin also interpreted an alleged voice of incognito, which remained for his son at that time. The man on the phone that is supposedly incognito threatens Jonathan Martin, using graphic language, including racial insults.
“Hey, what happens? “I saw you on Twitter, you have been training 10 weeks. I will be — in your mouth. Real mother on the face.
Martin would eventually be changed to the 49ers of San Francisco during the low season after the accusations of bullying are brought to light. However, he only played 15 games there before retiring after going to the Carolina Panthers training camp the following year.
Meanwhile, the incognito signed with the Buffalo Bills after the league raised its suspension. He spent three seasons in the state of New York before joining the then Oakland Raiders.

During an appearance in “HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” in 2019, Incognito denied that he once intimidates his former teammate, blaming Martin’s “Mental Health Problems” for being out of the League.
Incognito added: “I get into the bill. Hello, racist, homophobic, others. Males who talk to each other. Was it a bad ST said absolutely?
