In 2001, Mo Lewis delivered a Tackle that altered the history of the NFL.
Lewis, who spent his entire professional career with the New York Jets, approached the then senior field of the Patriots of England, Drew Bledsoe. Success forced Bledsoe to get out of the game, giving Tom Brady the opportunity to play. Brady took the opportunity, and Bledsoe never claimed the initial work.
While Lewis seemed to receive the part of the lion of the guilt of causing the career of two decades of unprecedented success that Brady produced with the New England patriots, the retired supporter argued that the fault should be assigned to Bledsoe.

In the NFL Gary Myers reporter book, “Brady Vs. Belichick,” Lewis pointed out Bledsoe’s decision to pull the work.
“[Bledsoe] I just signed a $ 100 million agreement to be what type of field marshal? A field marshal, correct? If I hadn’t left out of pocket and ran with the ball, would we be talking about this? Who caused the event? The person who was with the ball, “Lewis said.
“Now he is doing what was not registered. He signed up to be a field marshal.

Lewis gave Chase when Bledsoe hastened to try to win enough yards for a first Down. The blow in Bledsoe was considered legal, but many observers probably remembered the Tackle due to its intensity.
Lewis moved away from football after the 2003 season, and has greatly avoided the media or public events affiliated with Jets in later years.

Lewis’s decision to live away from the attention center focused on his frustration with being remembered mainly by Tackle Bledoe instead of his general professional achievements, Espn reported, citing Lewis teammates.
Lewis won the first team’s honors in 1998 and was selected for three Pro Bowls.

Lewis suggested that he was not personally affected by the consequences of the infamous game.
“It’s really irrelevant to me,” he said. “It was just another play for me. For all of you, it is a great play that changes the game and changes the story. I have never seen the work again. If people want to talk about it, I don’t hide from it. But it doesn’t matter to me.”
Brady won six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots. He left the franchise after the 2019 season and won its seventh championship with the Bay Buccaneers Tampa.
