Gilbert Arenas, who spent more than a decade at the NBA, was arrested on Wednesday.
The Department of Justice accused the former basketball star of operating an illegal game ring of a house that owned in southern California.
A federal accusation obtained by Pak Gazette Digital showed that Arenas was accused of a conspiracy charge to operate an illegal playing business, a position to operate an illegal game business and another charge of making false statements to federal investigators.

It is suspected that Arenas, nicknamed “Agent Zero”, rents a property in Encino, California, in order to organize high -risk poker games, according to the Department of Justice.
The federal accusation was presented in Los Angeles. According to the document, Arenas is accused of instructing Arthur Kats to organize illegal games. Kats supposedly handled the rental payments for other people who also believed that they had a role in the operation. The authorities said they obtained text messages that are believed to show conversations between Arenas and Kats about the details of the games in question.

One of the defendants, Ievgen Krachun, was identified as the person who supervised the game, since he was supposedly committed inside the house, according to the accusation. The Department of Justice described another defendant, Yevgeni Gershman, as a “figure of presumed organized crimes of Israel.”

The judicial documents did not appoint a lawyer for sands or other defendants in the case of Wednesday. The Coacusados are accused by doj researchers to receive awards money and recruit women to “serve drinks, provide massages and offer company” to the players.
The players collected a part of women’s profits after the services were supposedly provided, the researchers said.

The homemade arenas of property were raided in July 2022. Researchers from the Department of National Security of the United States seized money during the search. Arenas responded by presenting a petition with customs and border protection of the United States.
Arenas appeared for the last time in an NBA game during the 2011-12 season with the Memphis Grizzlies. He spent most of his professional basketball career with the Washington Wizards. In recent years, Arenas has become better known for organizing the “Gil’s Arena” podcast.
There were no lawyers in judicial documents.
