“I think, you know, God did how he did to you,” Driver said. “And I think, at the end of the day, if he made you a man, then you compete in male sports. A woman made you, compete in women’s sports. I think, at the end of the day, you cannot compete at that level.

“The girls are sometimes faster than boys, boys are sometimes faster than girls. Sometimes boys are stronger, sometimes girls are not. So, I think, at the end of the day, this is how God made you, so you have to compete in the sport that God made to you. You in a way, then that is the sport in which you compete.”

The issue of transgender athletes in girls and women’s sports was a main point of conversation of the re -election campaign of President Donald Trump in 2024. He took a clear position to keep the biological men of the sports of girls and women.

Recently, Trump signed an executive order to prohibit transgender athletes in the sport of girls and women, which caused legal battles between his administration and several states.

A New York Times/Ipsos survey published in January showed that the vast majority of Americans, including most Democrats, do not believe that transgender athletes are allowed to compete in women’s sports.

Of the 2,128 people surveyed, 79% said that biological men who identify as women should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports.
