a new Spider-Man: New Day The leak has apparently revealed the first look at the list of villains for the Sony and Marvel films.
The images, which spread like wildfire across the web *ahem* this past weekend (February 14-15), appear to show numerous members of the wall-crawler’s rogues gallery set to appear. In somewhat predictable circumstances, fans have also expressed their disdain for the design of one of the individuals Spidey will fight in his next Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) outing.

Appearing on a poster, which also appears to reconfirm that Bruce Banner/Savage Hulk will appear in the Marvel film, on Brazilian clothing website Piticas, classic and B-list villains in the form of Scorpion, Boomerang and Tarantula will be part of spider man 4The list of villains. This is not the first time we have heard that these antagonistic individuals are part of the process. Last May, another leak indicated that three villains would appear in Spider-Man: New Daywith that trio formed by Tombstone, Mack Gargan/Scorpion and Fred Myers/Boomerang.
Two months later, a behind-the-scenes look at spider man 4 suggested that Tarantula, also known as the supervillain alias used by five different Marvel characters, would also have a role to play. Then in September, it was reported that Marvin Jones III would play Tombstone in new day. He is expected to be joined by Michael Mando, who should reprise his role as Gargan from the 2016 MCU film. It’s the design of Gargan’s MCU costume/supersuit/call it what you want that fans were most upset about since these images also came to light.
Forum threads on ResetEra, r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers, r/MarvelStudios, and r/LeaksandRumors contain comments from disgruntled webheads. Most seem to be upset by the changes made to Scorpion’s tail, while others think Manod’s Gargan should sport the supervillain’s helmet and visor.
There are some Spider-Man devotees who don’t mind the change in the suit, and there’s no guarantee that this is the final design of the Scorpion costume. However, if so, expect it to continue dividing opinion when the film and/or its first trailer is released.
Why isn’t there a Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer yet?
Since we are less than six months away from spider man 4 hitting theaters, it’s no surprise that details are emerging about the Marvel Phase 6 movie via merchandise leaks. But wouldn’t it be better to see these characters in action through a trailer?
So where is it? After all, a low-quality version of new dayThe first trailer was leaked online last December. A month later, an unreliable informant, Alex Pérez, claimed that Sask-Man 4The inaugural trailer would be released “imminently”, an event that did not happen. And more recently, a report indicated new dayThe first teaser didn’t air during this year’s Super Bowl, which turned out to be the case.
So how long will Sony make us wait? Depending on who you listen to, not much. Speaking to YouTube channel Who Let Us Out, director Destin Daniel Cretton said: “Everyone will learn more very soon. It’s coming, it’s coming.”
On the other hand, X/Twitter user Cryptic4Qual, who has a much more reliable track record with scoops, suggested it could arrive sometime in March. If that’s true, it’s going to be a long month.
