Islamabad:
Pakistani citizens can now travel to 32 countries without visa or with access to visa upon arrival, after a notable improvement in the global classification of the Pakistani passport.
According to the latest data published by the Henley & Partners International Classification Platform, Pakistan’s passport currently occupies the number 100 worldwide, a jump from his 113rd place in 2021.
The improvement is seen as a reflection of the greatest diplomatic scope of Pakistan and the evolution of international relations.
The development occurs only a few days after Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (EAU) signed an agreement that allowed the headlines of diplomatic passports and officers of both countries to travel without the need for a visa.
The bilateral agreement eliminates visa procedures prior to the trip for eligible travelers, even more strengthening diplomatic ties between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi.
In a position on X, the VicePrimer Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, said he signed an agreement with his Eau counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah Bin, Zayed al-Nahyan in “exemption from Visa Mutua for the headlines of diplomatic and official passports of our two countries.”
“This important step reflects our shared resolution to further strengthen our fraternal ties and deepen institutional collaboration at all levels,” he added.
It occurred after both countries signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) about the exemption of mutual visa during the twelfth session of the Joint Ministerial Commission of Pakistan-Uae (JMC).
The authorities say that the measure will relieve high -level official commitments and reflect increasing confidence and cooperation between the two nations.
