- The 10 pixel could support Magsafe style load
- This comes from a freshly wet image of the phone.
- Google can also launch some ‘pixelsnap’ accessories
We are all ready for the great presentation of the Google Pixel 10 series on Wednesday, August 20, and the leaks continue. The last unofficial lot of images published on the web confirms a previous rumor: Magsafe for Android is coming.
These images are from the veteran Tipster Evan Blass, and in addition to showing the 10 pixel from a variety of angles, we can also see a load disc connected to the back of one of the phones, as if it broke magnetically in its place.
Apparently, that confirms that Pixel 10 phones will support the QI2 wireless load standard, including the support for magnets that keep a charger in place. Some previous Android phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25, have adopted Qi2 but without its magnetic part.
Of course, Apple’s own Magsafe technology has led the path here, adding that the additional magnetic touch to the wireless load which means that chargers can fit. We can expect a variety of third -party android accessories to also appear now.
As previously rumored
This is not the first time we listened to this rumor, and there were whispers in June. Apparently, Google is preparing some accessories with the ‘Pixelsnap’ brand, which will presumably work as Magsafe chargers for the iPhone.
It remains to be seen if this technology will reach other Android phones, but it seems likely. We know that Samsung is certainly thinking about it, but we have not seen it on any phone, including the newly released Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7.
While MAGSAFE -style load is certainly beneficial and convenient for telephone users, it means that magnets should be integrated into real phones, which can increase the aid and cost of these devices.
We will have to wait and see what Google says about this new technology when the phones are launched. Previously we have seen a lot of phones filtered renders, along with the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a that should be launched at the same time.
