The prime minister emphasized that federal and provincial governments would share the responsibility of compensating the victims. “Taking into account the impacts of climate change, we must find a program, since we face great challenges that cannot be overcome during the night,” he said.
As for foreign policy, Shehbaz praised his recent visit to China, where he said that Pakistan had obtained agreements worth $ 8.5 billion at a company to company investment conference.
He described the event as “very effective and good”, and added that China would cover 85% of the investment in new projects under the second phase of the China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC).
He said that agriculture would be a central focus of CPEC-II, while American companies had also shown interest in investing in the Pakistan mining and mineral sector using modern technology. “We are interested in improving ties with the United States, in addition to strengthening strategic association with China,” said Shehbaz.

The prime minister warned his cabinet against delays and complacency in monitoring the agreements. “I will not allow the status quo, any kind of complacency or excessive delays that have marked the history of the country in the last seven and a half decades,” he said.
Shehbaz also paid tribute to the greatest Adnan Aslam, who was killed in an operation against terrorists in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. He denounced the campaigns of social networks against the Armed Forces as “Fitna” that must be “crushed.” “Such disgusting attitude towards the armed forces is unbearable,” he said.
The cabinet offered prayers by relatives of government officials who had recently died. The authorities said that the application of climatic and agricultural emergencies aims to address the country’s growing climate challenges and support farmers whose livelihoods have been very affected.

“This is a collective challenge. The cooperation of all provincial stakeholders, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, will be essential,” Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry told Jeudhry to journalists.
He said the federal government would play its role, while the provinces and regions contribute their part. Chaudhry added that a meeting with the provincial interested parties would immediately be convened to coordinate relief and recovery efforts.
As for foreign policy, Chaudhry described the recent visit of Shehbaz Sharif to China as a success, saying that he opened “a new era of cooperation” between Islamabad and Beijing. He pointed out that the prime minister also had “friendly and constructive” commitments with world leaders.
