The authorities have imposed a partial curfew for multiple routes in the upper and lower district of the south of Waziristan to guarantee public safety amid security concerns.
According to a notification issued by the attached commissioner of tanks, the curfew will be applied in the Beni Zai Ragzai to Jandola, Tanai and Sarokai to the Jandola routes in the high south of Waziristan. In addition, Cadet College Road will remain closed from the Wana Zalai camp during the curfew period.
According to the official notification, a complete restriction will be established in the movement on March 17, 2025 (Monday), from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm During this time, roads that lead to Kod Qila, Manzai, Khargai, Ahmed Wam and Jandola will remain closed to all types of traffic.
The authorities have urged the public to cooperate with the security forces and strictly adhere to the restrictions of the curfew to avoid any inconvenience or safety risk.
Police fought two terrorist attacks against the Dadiwala and Pamient police stations in the Lakki Marwat district on Friday night. According to officials, heavily armed terrorists launched attacks against both stations, but the Police retalled with full strength, forcing the attackers to flee. No victims were reported in any of the incidents.
Separately, an IED explosion attacked a police vehicle in Landi Wah Road also in Lakki Marwat. The driver and an agent suffered minor injuries in the attack. An attacker was killed in the retaliation action. Police launched a human hunt for the other attackers.
In another violence, the terrorists launched simultaneous attacks on multiple police stations and three security forts in the Tanques District on Saturday. According to reports, the terrorists attacked Kot Murtaza Post, FC Fort Sur Kamar, FC Fort Murtaza and Gomal Police Station. The intense shot and explosions created panic among the local population.
