The Federal Government announced on Saturday a RS1 increase per liter in the price of gasoline, while the price of high -speed diesel (HSD) remained at the existing rate.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of gasoline has risen from RS252.63 per liter to RS253.63 per liter, while the price of HSD remains unchanged in RS254.64 per liter.
The new prices will enter into force from midnight and will remain in place for fifteen days.
In early May, the government had maintained gasoline prices without changes for two weeks, but has reduced the price of HSD in RS2 per liter, as of May 16.
