The Minister of Energy, Awais Leghari, inaugurated the first fast 120KW of Pakistan, developed by Gogreen Avenue, according to a statement from the Power division.
In the inauguration in Islamabad, Leghari reaffirmed the dedication of the government to clean energy and sustainable transport, stating that such initiatives are fundamental to transform the energy and transport sectors of the nation.
He pointed out that the launch of the fast charging station means Pakistan’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions and promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EV).
The minister announced a reduction in the prices of the electric charge unit from RS71 to RS39, with the aim of making the adoption of EV more accessible and affordable.
He praised the Public-Private Association that led to this project to fruition, highlighting the essential role of private investment to achieve Pakistan’s sustainability objectives.
Leghari concluded that the government is still committed to the support of green energy projects that offer long -term environmental and economic benefits.
