The government reduces the cost of the Hajj package

The Minister of Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, announced on Tuesday a significant reduction in the costs of the Hajj package.

When heading to a press conference in the Ministry, he said that the cost of the HAJJ package 40 days long has been reduced by RS25,000, which raises the total to RS1,050,000. Pilgrims who opt for the package must pay a third installment of RS450,000.

Similarly, the minister said that the 25 -day short Hajj package has been further reduced by RS50,000, establishing the new price at RS1,100,000. The third installment of this package will be RS500,000.

He said that all pilgrims must present their third installment in the banks designated between February 6 to 14. The Ministry has assured that each pilgrim will receive a notification with respect to their payment status through the mobile application ‘Pak Hajj’, he added.

In another important development, the minister announced a reimbursement of more than 4.75 billion rupees to the pilgrims who made the Hajj in 2024. He said that the reimbursements have been classified into seven different groups, according to factors such as accommodation in mine, Albeaning in Makkah and Maktab C. allocation, in addition, the savings of Qurbani reimbursements and air ticket reductions are also being transmitted to pilgrims.

Refunds will be transferred through the designated bank branches. The minister confirmed that the transfer of funds to the nominated banks will begin in the next two days.
