We expect a successor of the M4 iPad Pro 2024 at some point this year, and together with the standard performance coup, it seems that we are going to obtain a fairly unusual camera update: the tablet will apparently arrive with two Selfie cameras.
This comes from the reliable, Mark Gurman of Apple in Bloomberg, who says that the M5 iPad Pro 2025 will feature cameras oriented forward on the longest and most short sides of the device, hidden in the bevels.
The thought is that the so -called Face and Facetime can be done more easily if the iPad is in portrait or landscape mode. Presumably, the tablet would automatically choose the best camera for work based on its orientation.
Last year’s model moved the Selfie Chamber to the longest side of the iPad Pro for the first time. Face ID still works as usual; However, the iPad is positioned in a more convenient way for video calls made in landscape mode.
Arriving in 2025
Since the current M4 iPad Pro obtained a significant and thinner design and an OLED screen, it is unlikely that we see important changes with version M5, apart from the increase in performance that comes with a faster chipset inside.
Most of the rumors and leaks we have seen on the next tablet so far have simply said that the device will be launched at some point in 2025. Most of the informants agree that it will appear in the second half of the year, which, of course, now we are.
Gurman himself has said that the tablet could be launched near the end of 2025 or early 2026. IPAD professionals have previously announced in months, including April, May and October, so it is difficult to predict when the updated model could reach.
