The High Commissioner from Australia to Pakistan, Neil Hawkins, strongly condemned the terrorist attack against Jaffer Express in Baluchistan, which resulted in the death of several passengers and security personnel.
In a statement published in X, Hawkins expressed their condolences to victims and their families. “We firmly condemn the attack on Jaffar Express in Baluchistan and passenger taking as hostages. Our thoughts are with affected people and their families. Australia meets Pakistan during this difficult time,” he said.

The attack took place on March 11, 2025, when the terrorists attacked the train in Baluchistan, causing an explosion on the railroad tracks and stopping the Express Jaffa.
The train, which had 440 passengers, was forced to stop. Terrorists used hostages, including women and children, such as human shields during the attack, according to security forces.
The security forces carried out an authorization operation, and the 33 terrorists involved in the attack were neutralized. Unfortunately, the attack claimed the life of 21 passengers and 4 security personnel.
The incident has generated a generalized conviction of several sectors, including international governments and human rights organizations, since Pakistan continues to face security challenges in their fight against terrorism.
Hawkins reiterated the solidarity of Australia with Pakistan and expressed hope for the rapid recovery of the injured in the attack.
In addition, the United Nations led the international sentences of the terrorist attack against a train in Baluchistan, since the world capitals expressed solidarity with Islamabad following the horrible assault on civilian innocent.
The terrorists belonging to the successful Liberation Army of Baloch (Bla) kidnapped the Jaffar Express, with 450 passengers on board, while traveling to Quetta to Peshawar, in the Bolan district on Tuesday. The security forces immediately launched the rescue operation, which continued until Wednesday.
The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, strongly condemned the kidnapping of Jaffar Express and has demanded the immediate release of the hostages, said the UN spokesman Stephane Durric. The secretary general made it clear that “the attacks against civilians are unacceptable and the international community should take measures to avoid such incidents,” he added.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, in a publication on the X Microblogging website, condemned the “terrorist attack in Baluchistan.” He said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who have lost their lives.” A similar message was also tweeted by the British high commissioner Jane Marriott.
The European Union ambassador (EU) in Dr. Riina Kionka of Pakistan also condemned the terrorist attack and expressed her condolences to the families of the victims. China also condemned the terrorist attack and promised to continue with Beijing’s firm support to Islamabad to combat terrorism and maintain solidarity and social stability.
