Islamabad:
The Federal Minister of Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, presided on Thursday an important meeting of the National Highways & Autoways (NHMP) to review the general performance, the implementation of policies and the future strategy of the Force.
In expressing dissatisfaction with the current performance, the minister issued a one -week deadline and instructed the highway police to demonstrate a clear improvement in performance, warning that strict measures will continue in case of failure. He announced that fines will be imposed on vehicles greater than 120 km/h, while the FIR will be registered against those who drive more than 150 km/h.
