A basketball coach from Colorado high school was suspended after they saw him hanging a Palestinian flag, and after he refused to strengthen the opposite coach after a game against a Jewish school last week.
Lotus School for Excellence in Aurora and Denver Torah Academy competed with each other on January 22. The Lotus school said the 9 Denver news that the team chief coach, identified only as coach O., took out a Palestinian flag before the game and hung it.

The school said that after the game the coach reacted again to the flag before going to the hands -tight line. According to the reports, the coach could not strengthen the hand of the coaches of Denver TorĂ¡.
“He grabs his flag and puts it on his neck,” said Athletics Director of Lotus School, Deon Jackson, to the station. “We saw the intention at that point.”
Emrek Bakyt, director of the school, announced that the coach was suspended along with another assistant coach, according to the New York Post.
“It has nothing to do with Lotus,” Bakyt said. “It does not represent us, and we are, again, all about respect and diversity. That is what we celebrate. That’s what we proud.”
Brandon Rattines, a member of the Jewish Community Relations Council, condemned the coach’s actions in an interview with the New York Post.

Rattine added that he thought the “key problem” was when the coach refused to shake the hand of Jewish coaches.
“The key issue is when the coach refuses to interact with a Jewish coach and Jewish students simply because they are Jews or who personally hold them for a conflict initiated, not by Israel, by the way, in the middle of the world thousands and thousands of miles Far, “he said.
