The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised concerns about the provision of RS344 billion subsidies to several sectors without the approval of the National Assembly.
The sources said that the multilateral lender described the defense subsidy, independent energy producers (IPP) and other sectors without
Parliament a violation of the Government-IMF Agreement.
The Federal Government has also spent RS344.66 billion during the current fiscal year in the form of subsidies.
The Government distributed RS115 billion to IPP, RS30 billion to victims of floods in Sindh and RS6 billion to the Federal Income Board (FBR).
Similarly, he spent RS14 billion in solarization, RS23 billion in anti -terrorist and RS2 billion initiatives in technological improvements.
Similarly, the Government also published RS3.7 billion for the Reko DIQ project, RS520 million for the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and RS7 billion for parliamentary schemes.
