Avic Shenyang Aircraft Co., the manufacturer of the J-35, reached its daily limit of 10% in the Shanghai trade, extending profits for a third consecutive session. AERAPACE NANHU ELECTRONIC INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CO. also saw an increase, up to 15%.

The rally followed a formal statement in the social networks of Pakistan confirming its intention to acquire the jets, after weeks of unofficial reports.

Pakistani officials had previously indicated that the pilots were already in China experiencing training before the expected deliveries.

J-35 Fighter Jet offers stealthy, long-range and deep strikes

The Fifth J-35A generation combat plane of China, which will soon be delivered to Pakistan, presents stealth technology, advanced sensors and deep abilities that could significantly boost Pakistan’s air power, according to Defense analyst Brandon J. Weichert.

Developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, the J-35A is China’s second fifth generation plane after Chengdu J-20. It is equipped with an active electronically scanned matrix radar (AESA), advanced electrooptic orientation systems to improve situational awareness and orientation accuracy.

Designed to evade detection, the stealth profile of the aircraft reduces its cross section of the radar. It is compatible with long-range air-5 PL-15 missiles and PL-17, offering a great advantage in the combat of rank beyond the visual.

Turbofan engines WS-19 Rusos RD-93, the J-35A can reach speeds of up to 1,367 mph. The deliveries to Pakistan could begin in August, with the pilots who are already in training in China.

The plane is expected to replace the F-16 fleet of Pakistan and Mirages of Pakistan. Weichert points out that J-35A’s capabilities will allow Pakistan to better counteract Indian aerial defenses and perform deep strike missions, potentially changing regional air balance.
