- An independent audit confirmed that Ipvanish never stores user data as indicated in its privacy policy
- Ipvanish also announced its latest transparency report, a quarterly update on government applications
- A trusted center page has also been launched to group all reports, iPvanish policies and initiatives in one place
An independent audit has just confirmed that Ipvanish does not record its data.
The cybersecurity firm Schellman Compliance conducted a series of tests to determine that IPvanish data management practices adhere to their privacy policy.
As of today, on April 10, 2025, you can find all the IPVANISH NO-LOG audits, quarterly transparency reports, continuous policies and initiatives grouped on the page of the recently released confidence center.
A transparency impulse
This was the second time that Ipvanish successfully put its privileged privacy policy claims. The popular supplier already made an independent privacy audit in 2022.
The Schellman team inspected all IPvanish server settings and relevant IT systems in February 2025 to determine whether the user’s activity was being collected or stored on their VPN servers.
The verdict? “Ipvanish did not retain the records,” the auditors concluded.
When commenting on the findings, the commercial director of Ipvanish, Subbu Sthanu, told Techradar: “People should not have to take the floor of a VPN when it comes to data management.”
All the best VPN services boast, in fact, a privacy policy without regularly audited registration as a guarantee that personal information or use data cannot be collected and then linked to you or your online activities.
However, it is worth remembering that most VPN without registration collect some basic data such as their email address and the number of users connected to a server, for example. However, these details will not be enough to identify you or your activities when using the VPN.
In an additional attempt to increase transparency, Ipvanish has also presented its new trusted center.
“The Trust Center offers users, proof of our position without registration, independent audits and infrastructure transparency, all in one place,” Stanu said.
There, you can find all the previous Non-Log audit results along with the provider quarterly transparency reports. The latter are regular updates of all data requests that the VPN of governments receives, as well as attempts at malicious activities.
However, nothing to worry about, as Ipvanish explains, these data do not exist, so the supplier cannot provide it, regardless of who requests it or why.
“By sharing more details about the requests we receive, we strive to offer greater transparency in the steps we take to protect our users,” Ipvanish said.
You can also go to the Trust Center for more information on IPvanish data management practices, all its available tools and continuous initiatives. You will also find a similar resource directly in its VPN iOS and Android application.
