When Apple launched the iPhone 15 series, it also revealed a new case called Fine Woven that said it was better for the environment than leather alternatives. However, this case proved to be a disaster, with an avalanche of complaints about its appearance and a lack of durability. Even so, that has not apparently discouraged Apple to find a replacement, with a new leak that apparently reveals the protective case that the company could launch together with the iPhone 17 at the end of this year.
On a publication on its website, Leaker Majin Bu has published what they say they are photos of a next -successor to Finewoven called Techwoven. This shows the full range of colors in which the case will apparently enter, including green, oranges, black, navy blue and purple. As with Fine Woven, which was made of a “microtlides” fabric, Bu says that Techwoven “remains a fabric cover, but the material has been redesigned for greater durability and more practical daily use.”

BU says that this takes the form of a “slightly textured fabric”, and his photos show an effect with dimples when seen closely. Crucially, the fleeting alleges that the surface of the case “maintains a constant appearance even after weeks of use.” If it is true, that could address one of Finewoven’s key criticisms, which often seemed to deteriorate in appearance after a period of sustained use.
Cases will also have metal buttons, hits for laces bands, Magsafe compatibility and an integrated camera control cover, the publication holds. Supposedly there will be options for each model in the range of the iPhone 17, including the iPhone 17 Air.

This is not the first technological revelation of Majin Bu. Only two days ago, the filter published images of what they said it was packaging for the Techwoven case. Before that, they uploaded an image of a single case of technological technology in X, although they noticed that it was a clone instead of one made by Apple, which suggests that the cases in the last publication of BU could also be clones.
Interestingly, the packaging recently revealed by Majin BU contained the phrase “compatible with the cross strap.” Apple does not sell any product under that name, but the iPhone Otterbox accessories manufacturer yes. With the case of Techwoven that supposedly includes cord cuts, that could indicate that Apple has made it compatible with the Otterbox accessory. Alternatively, Apple could be planning to sell its own product called Crossbody Strap, perhaps as a security feature to frustrate thieves.
Reactions to rumors of Techwoven cases have so far mixed so far. In Reddit, the main comment in a publication that links the coverage of the Techwoven case was a succinct “that is a non of me”, with many of the complaints that cite traditionally high prices of Apple for their own brand accessories. Many also noticed that they lost the quality of Apple’s first leather boxes around the time of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X.
However, the answers in Majin Bu’s last Xin Bu publication were more positive, so it remains to be seen if Techwoven can succeed where Fine Woven failed.
There is no doubt that the debacle of fine tissues was a stumbling block for Apple, and although there were still many people who liked cases, the overwhelming feeling was a negativity. That means Apple is under pressure to do better this time. With only a few weeks until the launch date of the iPhone 17, we should soon find out if these rumored technology technology boxes can put things well.
