According to the “internal information of German mobile phones suppliers” shared by iPhone-ticker.de (through Gsmarena), the iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max, will be announced on Tuesday, September 9.
They add that these phones will apparently send a week and a half later, on Friday, September 19.
While we would take these statements with a pinch of salt, it is credible that the main retailers now have this information. In addition, it fits our own predictions, and does not conflict with any other filtration, so for now we would say that on September 9 it seems to be the most probable announcement date.
In which case, there are only a little over a month to wait for Apple’s next phones, and it is likely that these phones are worth it, since numerous updates and changes have been inclined. Next, we have listed five of the biggest changes we expect.
1. A new design
Perhaps the greatest change indicated by the iPhone 17 line is visual, with numerous sources that suggest that these phones will obtain a redesign.
The main change is likely to reach the camera block, which, according to the reports, runs throughout the width of the back in most models, giving these phones a more similar appearance to Google Pixel 9.
This change could also allow more than one two -tone color scheme, with the large bright camera block, while the rest of the rear is more.
2. An iPhone 17 Air instead of an iPhone 17 Plus
Another great rumored change is the replacement of the Plus model with an iPhone 17 Air. According to reports, this new model will be much thinner than any previous iPhone, probably having about 5.5 mm thick, which would make it a more direct rival for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.

3. An 120Hz update rate for each model
Apple has continued to stay with 60Hz screens on the base iPhones, although most android medium range phones have had 120Hz screens for years. But with the iPhone 17 line, Apple could finally be with the times.
Numerous reports suggest that the four expected models will have a 120 Hz screen, which should make the displacement feel softer.
However, a source states that, although the screens will be 120Hz, the air of the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 still will not have a variable update rate, which means that, unlike their professional brothers, they would probably not admit the screen always on, since this needs a very low update rate to function without demolishing the battery. 4. New cameras

And there are also some rumored camera updates that we are not convinced that we will see, but we cannot completely discard, including an 8X optical zoom for iPhone 17 Pro models and a second camera control button for the four models.
5. A great impulse in power
Finally, a totally surprising but still appreciated update of the one we are listening to is an impulse of power thanks to a new chipset.
Specifically, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max could have a new A19 Pro chipset, while the air of the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 could have an A19 chipset. In all cases, that should be an improvement, since current models use chips sets A18 or A18 Pro.
In addition, the iPhone 17 PRO, the iPhone 17 Pro Max and possibly also the air of the iPhone 17 could have 12 GB of RAM, compared to 8 GB in the iPhone 16 series.
