- Magsafe chargers improved have been seen in presentations
- The iPhone 17 could admit a wireless load of up to 50 w
- Price increases for new models have been predicted
We are counting the weeks until the iPhone 17 reveals, which should be at some time in September, and a couple of new leaks have caught our attention. In summary: there is good news and there is bad news.
First, the positive news is that the Apple flagship telephone series could be receiving an impulse in terms of its magsafe wireless load, compared to the iPhone 16 range.
As seen by 91mobiles, Apple has presented regulatory presentations in Taiwan for two new models of MAGSAFE loaders, with Model Numbers A3502 and A3503.
Crucially, the chargers admit the Qi 2.2 standard, and that means a great leap in the power of wireless load: 50W, unlike the 25W that the current iPhones are maximum maximum (the current technology Magsafe is limited to Qi 2.0).
The Qi 2.2 standard also brings improved efficiency, to reduce heat generation and energy loss, as well as a better magnetic alignment, so these new Magsafe loaders should fit better than ever. The signals promise that the new models will offer improved load speeds for the iPhone 17.
Increase the price
Less encouraging, 9to5Mac reports on a prediction of Counterpoint Research analysts, suggesting that the initial price of an iPhone will increase this year, mainly due to the current tariff situation.
Apple will be transmitted to consumers that part of that cost will be transmitted rate to consumers, says counterpoint research, although it does not specify what prices increase or what models could be most affected. Until now, Apple has resisted increasing the prices of its current alignment, including the recently launched iPhone.
Of course, all this is not official for now, and the situation of the rate may seem very different in September 2025, but you may want to start saving. The initial price of the iPhone 16 was set at $ 799 / £ 799 / AU $ 1,399 when it was launched last September.
The rumors of an increase in iPhone 17 prices have been turning all year, so this last prediction is not really a surprise. Internal sources and analysts of Samsung Securities have speculated that the iPhone 17 could cost more than its predecessor, not only for tariffs, but also for new costs for Apple and new features on the phone.
