We have heard a lot about the iPhone 17 Pro Max at this time, but surprisingly one of the largest potential updates has just leaked.
According to Leaker Setsuna Digital (through GSMARENA), the iPhone 17 Pro Max could have a 5,000 mAh battery, and although that is a common capacity for Android phones, it is much higher than what we have seen of an iPhone so far.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max has the largest battery that Apple has put so far on a phone, but it still has only 4,685 mAh. So, if this leak is correct, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have an additional 315 mAh to play.
Boosting the battery at 5,000 mAh would finally make Apple’s battery specifications more comparable to Android phones, and would probably mean that the real life of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is much greater than most Android phones, since iPhones tend to be very efficient in power.
A bigger impulse than usual
That is good news, although we would take this with a pinch of salt, since although the source of this advice has a solid history that we have not yet heard of anyone else, and that would be a battery jump a little larger than we tend to see Apple.
But if the iPhone 17 Pro Max really has a 5,000 mAh battery, that could make one of the most exciting updates on a phone that until now does not seem to be a great improvement in the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Going through current leaks, the main change could be the design, although the chipset and some of the cameras will probably also improve. Therefore, an impulse in the battery life could help this phone feel as an update more than it could otherwise.
And although this filtration only speaks of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, if you are really receiving a great increase in battery, then there is also a good possibility that the other iPhone 17 models also do it. We should find out in September, since it is probably when Apple will present these new phones.
