The Cyclist Samuele Privitera died from injuries he suffered in an accident on Wednesday during the first stage of the Valle D’Aosta tour in Italy, his team announced. I was 19 years old.

According to the reports, he lost his helmet in the process.
The organizers of the race said that the circumstances of the accident “were not yet clear and are being investigated by the public security authorities.”
Deprived was a member of the Hagens Berman Jayco team. The team director, Axel Merckx, issued a statement on the death of the teenager.
“Samuele went and always will be the life and personality of this team,” said Merckx. “This team has always been a small family, and moments like this are unimaginable.
“It was irreplaceable. His joy, his spirit, his kindness was always a brilliant light for any room or race in which he was at that time. Losing it is devastating beyond words.”

Tour de France Riders took a moment to applaud for a minute during stage 12 of the race on Thursday in honor of PRIVITERA.
“It is really sad to lose another young talent today. He is devastating,” said the favorite of the Tour de France, Tadej Pugačar, before the stage on Thursday. “I think he is one of the most dangerous sports in the world, and the risk we are taking sometimes is too far. But I am really sad for his whole family. May he rest in peace.”
The Valle d’Aosta tour was on hold on Thursday and will resume on Friday.
