An American judge has revoked the fraud and manipulation sentences of the Avraham Eisenberg market, the cryptographic merchant accused of exhausting $ 110 million of the protocol mango markets of decentralized finance protocol now missing.
On Friday, the American district judge Arun Subramanian ruled that prosecutors could not prove that Eisenberg made false representations on the platform.
He also moved to acquit Eisenberg of wire fraud charges. The investor manipulated the price of native mango token with massive operations in more than 1,000% in 20 minutes before obtaining the protocol to allow him to borrow and remove $ 110 million in several cryptocurrencies, backed by the inflated guarantee.
Eisenberg’s defense argued that the platform, which operated through intelligent contracts, allowed anyone to make transactions freely and simply exploited vulnerability. The judge agreed, stating that the structure without mango permission meant that “there was no insufficient evidence of falsity” of the prosecutors on the representation of Eisenberg to the mango markets.
Eisenberg was arrested in December 2022, and although this case collapsed, he is still serving a four -year sentence delivered after he declared himself guilty of possession of child sexual abuse material.
“From the beginning, we said that this case had fatally failures,” said his lawyer Brian Klein from Waymaker LLP. “We are very happy with Avi that the judge granted our motion and dismissed the case.”
