Peshawar: The speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly, Babar Salem Swati, has been authorized by all accusations of corruption and abuse of power in an investigation of the internal part, according to a report obtained by Geographical news.

The Qazi Anwar Research Report, a member of the Internal Responsibility Committee of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), found no evidence to support the accusations collected against the president.

The seven -page report, now presented to the Secretary General of PTI, Salman Akram Raja, states that the accusations made by PTI Azam Swati leader, ranging from financial irregularities to illegal appointments, could not be justified.

The investigation found that President Swati had no participation in the payment of RS30 million for the renewal of the home of the speaker. His participation in a conference held in Australia was considered necessary and in line with his official responsibilities.

Although class staff IV was recruited without ads, appointments were made in accordance with the rules and on the recommendation of the Employment Exchange Office.

It was discovered that all appointments and promotions, including that of the Special Secretary, were legal and were based on the recommendations of the Departments Promotion Committee (DPC). The report also pointed out that, as a speaker, Babar is responsible for the Assembly, not for the Internal Responsibility Committee.

The report also mentions that Babar himself had written to the PTI party committee, requesting an investigation to clean his name after the accusations arose publicly.

The Committee had asked Azam to present evidence, and the report now reveals that verifiable evidence was provided to support claims.

Anwar revealed that there were differences of opinion within the responsibility agency. While a committee member had completely dismissed accusations as false, another believes that some of Azam Swati’s statements have merit.

As a result, the case had been sent to a third member of the Committee.

“Any decision made by the third member will be acceptable,” said Anwar, added that the final report would be presented to the founder of PTI, Imran Khan.

The controversy occurs amid reports earlier this month of a possible motion of without confidence against Babar. The sources indicated that the party had considered eliminating it if it was declared guilty of corruption.

Azam had also cited Imran’s instructions, broadcast during a meeting in the Adiala prison, which the speaker should resign if he is guilty.
